A session includes at least one tintype, but can be multiple, and a social media digital image of each tintype purchased.
I will reshoot the image if there are chemical artifacts that obstruct the image or there is a chemistry issue on my part. Please keep in mind that this is a historical process with quirky imperfections and allow some tolerance towards dust particles, soft focusing, minor flaws, fingerprints, etc. - It's what makes this method one of a kind and special.
Please keep in mind that my lens is at its best if there are two people per plate. If there are more than two people, focusing gets trickier on my part and an image may start to fall out of focus due to the shorter depth of field. I will definitely try my best!
Once the session has ended, I will mail or hand deliver the physical plate(s). Turn around time is about 1-2 weeks.
Final note: This process captures every last detail and some people find it daunting to view themselves in this photographic medium. If you are expecting an highly edited, digitally manipulated, and/or a perfect image, this type of portraiture isn't for you. My lens captures details we normally don't see which is why tintypes are referred to as honest portraits. In all the "flaws" we humans see in ourselves, I find these types of portraits to be purely striking unlike anything else. It's a truly unique form of portraiture but keep in mind that it’s not for everyone.
